After The Photo Shoot: What To Do With Your Images
I often get requests from clients for info on where and how to print out their pics after the photo shoot - and I thought I'd start a little post here with my very limited amount of knowledge that I have, and hopefully grow and build it based on your suggestions as well (please do send them through!).
From personal experience -
I have printed out many pictures on beautiful canvas-esque paper (bought at Herbert Evans), and printed at Postnet in Rosebank (do be careful though, as not all Postnets are so great - some of their colour printers are just shocking!), and then framed them up. It gives a beautiful matt finish to an image, and is quite a lovely way of printing.
I also often pop into FotoFirst in Rosebank for quick and easy same day prints of pics.
Otherwise I've heard that B&H in Sandton do gorgeous canvas prints!
We recently had two prints framed at Frame Talk in Sandton, and while it took a couple of weeks the end product was beautiful and the white box frames were exactly what we were after. They're just a little pricey, in my opinion.
I've also heard great things about the frame shop in Emmarentia though - still to be tested.
Alternatively Country Road is known for their gorgeous selection of photo frames, and I've heard recently that Mr Price is coming out with a similar line.
I now offer photo book printing as part of my photo service! Beautiful hardcover, custom designed books of your photo shoot, event or family holiday. Please let me know if you'd like me to send through packages and prices.
I'll be adding to this list as I learn more! Please feel free to email me your suggestions :)
