...and it totally made my day!
It was a long drive out to Cullinan this past weekend, on a gloriously hot day. My second shooter and I got to work the moment we arrived - making our way through all the pics we needed for the day, whilst enjoying the light hearted celebrations, in a gorgeous venue. The couple were relaxed, and lovely.
The pressure was still on though - this is a day in which not a single moment should be missed!
After the pre-wedding pics, the ceremony, the family and couple photos, the pressure of the day eased a little, and I snuck into the dining hall, which was so gorgeously laid out for a picnic-style dinner. I wanted to snap some pics of it, all lit up, before the guests made their way through.
And that's when I saw it - this wonderful couple had set places for myself and my second shooter at one of the family tables! We were to sit down and feast with the rest of the guests. It would be a welcome chance to rest our tired feet, and refuel for the rest of the evening.
Often over-looked, this heart-warming gesture really makes such a difference to what is often an eight, ten or twelve hour day - and fits perfectly into a moment when guests tend to prefer to not have photos taken - while they are eating :)
Thank you Sasha and Mathew for including us in SUCH an incredible day - I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the photos from your more-than-perfect day!
