ROBYN HAS SPENT NEARLY A DECADE BUILDING ONE OF THE STRONGEST PHOTOGRAPHIC BRANDS IN SOUTH AFRICA, TRANSFORMING HER BUSINESS FROM A ONE-WOMAN SHOW TO AN AWARD-WINNING FIFTEEN-MEMBER TEAM, AND DOCUMENTING THOUSANDS OF PHOTO SHOOTS IN THAT TIME.
IN 2020, WITH THE CHANGE OF MANY THINGS, WE EXPANDED INTO GRAPHIC DESIGN, BUILT A FABULOUS ONLINE STORE, AND GREW OUR PHOTOGRAPHIC OFFERINGS FURTHER.
10 2021, WE LAUNCHED FYNN STUDIO - A NATURAL LIGHT STUDIO SPACE IN THE HEART OF PARKTOWN NORTH. AND FOUNDED FYNN PHOTO BOOKS, AN EASY-PEASY DIY ONLINE PHOTO BOOK ORDERING SERVICE.

LAYING THE
GROUNDWORK
Robyn spent time living and working in
Japan and China before and after receiving
her BA Corporate Communication.
She then worked as a wardrobe stylist and art
director for the film industry for a few years - honing her creative eye, learning a lot about leading a team, and upmost professionalism.
2013 & 2014
LIVING IN
LOS ANGELES
Robyn then lived and worked in LA, setting up her photographic business shooting head shots for actors. This was a steep learning curve - combining skills learnt in the film industry, and adding new skills of business management and marketing.

RETURNED
HOME
Returned to the city of gold - Johannesburg.
2015 - 2017
PHASE TWO
OF THE BIZ
Back in Johannesburg, started photographing families for the first time.
Launched our associate photographer program, starting to train and mentor young female photographers.
2018
STEPPING UP
Realised it was truly time to STEP THINGS UP - rebranded (new logo, new website, new look and feel), hired our lovely office manager, and launched a second business (Robyn Davie Creative) for corporates and events.
2018 - 2019
CONSOLIDATED
Focused on getting REALLY good at what we do, upping our ante on services and products, ensuring we were delivering top quality client service.
Hired our marketing manager.
early 2020
EXPANDING
Expanded into Cape Town.
Hired our biz manager.
Grew our team with four additional
photographers in the Mother City.
Launched an online store.
Partnered up with the iStore.
